There are various programs that operate the remote:
1. ECHOLINK : Used as the TCP/IP to open the link to the remote. Visit their website at www.echolink.org. The Remote Server access log-in can be found there under NP2KW-L.
2. ARTiE by N8AD : This is the actual rig control software. The Artie746PRO software was specifically designed for this remote and only available to Advanced users. While all the arties for download do work the remote, it will only control basic functions of freq. and tx/rx,..nothing else. It is recommended that you begin with MixBase EZ-PAD by OH2FH. AGAIN..anyone who attempts to "RUN BEFORE THEY CAN CRAWL" on this remote will be banned,..so I strongly suggest you start with EZ-PAD before attempting the other much more complicated programs.
3. SKYPE : Used as the Voice Over IP program, it works full-duplex audio to and from the server without any delays. The Remote Server can be found there under NP2KW HF REMOTE. ONLY operators who have been given CONTROL OPERATOR STATUS will be allowed to log-in via SKYPE. DO NOT attempt to get invited into Skype without first being given CONTROL OP STATUS. You will be advised when you can do so.
5. WI-FI capable cellphones and laptops can also use this remote with all freq. change and rx/tx functions using ONLY SKYPE,..but this is only available to advanced users of the system with prior approval.
